The Sports Leaders UK Volunteer Log app has been developed to enable learners to log their volunteering hours in a simple, easy to use and fun app. When 50, 100 or 200 hours of volunteering are achieved learners submit their log and receive their bronze, silver or gold Spirit of Leadership certificate in recognition of their achievement.

The app also offers the opportunity to record notes of each volunteering opportunity, contact information including key personnel and links to useful websites for more information.

Learners are also given the opportunity to measure their organisational ability, communication skills and leadership qualities as their confidence grows through volunteering.

Sports Leaders UK provides nationally recognised leadership awards and qualifications that help people develop essential life skills such as organisation, motivation, communication and working with others. All of the awards and qualifications are practical - learners learn by doing rather than through written work. And, we dont do exams - assessment is made upon a learners ability to lead and demonstrate their leadership skills for a certain period of time, within a specific setting.

Learners dont need to be sports stars or prima ballerinas - instead an interest in their chosen activity, a positive attitude and a willingness to volunteer are all that is required.

People across the UK - especially young people - find themselves increasingly isolated from the places, history and communities where they live. We believe everyone can and should give back to their local community. Sports Leaders UK was originally founded to support the very people who do just that and to help provide the huge majority of sporting opportunities available in the country. We continue to support those who volunteer because they want to, not because they have to. We dont simply offer them equipment, but also training, new skills, advice and support.

Each of our courses contains a volunteering element which helps connect the local community. Sport and physical elements create a fun and dynamic focus with essential health benefits. Our courses improve motivation self-esteem, communication, teamwork and confidence. Sports leadership has also been shown to counteract anti-social behaviour, crime and drug abuse. our awards and qualifications are run to measureable effect in many prisons, young offending units and youth and community organisations.

We work in some of the most under-privileged areas of the UK, offering our expertise and materials for free to those who need it most.
